What are Security Bans?
Security Bans are temporary or permanent restrictions on an account to protect them from unauthorized access. We implement them when an account shows signs of being compromised until we can ensure to return the account to the correct account-owner.

My Account has a Security Ban on it - how can I lift this?
Read CAREFULLY:

Contact me in Discord DMs (DuckBitt) and provide there in one message without pinging:
1) Your ID that is banned
2) Name of your Socialclub Account
3) A screenshot of being logged into your socialclub accounts from the rockstar games launcher
4) A screenshot of being logged into your socialclub accounts on the rockstar games website (in the Settings-Tab, which you find HERE)

5) Open a new Forum post to get unbanned in Admin Complaints Section and link that thread in the same DM.
Do NOT provide any personal information (Email Adress, Passwords...) in the DM.

How can I prevent unauthorized access on my account?
The best way to prevent other people from accessing your account is:

1) Regularly changing your Ingame and Forum Passwords to a Safe Password

> Change Password ingame can be done in M - Settings - System Settings
> What strong passwords are - explained by Google
2) Use Two-Factor-Authentification Ingame and in Forum
> 2FA in Forum
> 2FA Ingame can be set by pressing M - Settings - Two Factor Authentification on the bottom left side
3) Do not Download things from possibly malicious sources
> This can include Reduxes, as well as .exe files that you are unaware of the origin

Is it possible to lift a Security Ban in all cases?
No that is not guaranteed. Each case needs to be reviewed closely by the Administration.
Depending on what happend to your account by the malicious player, General Rule 1.1 or General Rule 1.2 applies.
