Life Story:
I was raised in Caires rough streets
I joined a gang when I was young because life was difficult
I believed that the only things that mattered were wealth and power
We had daily arguments and I lost a lot of friends in the process
My best friend passed away one evening because of a mistake I made
I was devastated by that moment and realized how mistaken I had been
I decided to turn myself in and quit the group
After a while I decided to make a radical shift in my life

After I joined the National Guard I really thought my life was changing
Wearing the uniform made me feel proud like I was finally doing something right
But it didn’t take long for me to see how things actually worked
People talked about justice but all I saw was power money and dirty deals
Some officers took bribes others just looked the other way
At first I told myself I was different that I wouldn’t be like them
But when you see everyone around you getting rich and staying safe it’s hard to resist
So I stopped fighting the system and started working with it
Now I know the truth in this city corruption isn’t a crime it’s a way to survive
And maybe I didn’t change after all I just learned how to hide it better
