Hey Floki,
I have made this forum to ask you about ORG Discord Public channels, whether they are IC or OOC.
Some Curators say it's IC as today Light Moon said Public Chat in Life Invader IC ( image hosted at ImgBB )
A Few days back, Trent in the government Discord said just DOJ, HC, Department channels and Logs are IC. Others are OOC ( image hosted at ImgBB )
So, it's a big conflict because recently Li Leader came in FIB Public chat saying do a meeting with him or he will make an article on FIB within 48hrs just because someone from FIB did corruption on him, which was kind of threatening, as per i know, Public chat is OOC as you can't really identify who that person is, anyone can impersonate anyone and Li Leader was not having any Roles. Then, when Someone from FIB went to ask for timings for a Li interview in Public chat of Li He, straight up came and rejected there, saying, "I’m going to have to reject that. Due to corrupt officers I dealt with last night and the lack of response when asked for assistance from FIB HC". FIB agents had responded to him before all this, but Li Leader had no bodycam of the situtaion but he was saying call all the FIB agents who are on Duty ill tell you who that is, and you check his bodycam. Which was completely inappropriate and was kind of Fail Rp. Just because we didn't comply with him, he started targeting FIB in the Discord channels.
Just to clarify i am not reporting him for his actions because that should be done by the FIB Leader if he wants.
So here are some things that create confusion between players.
1. Are all the ORG Discord channels IC?
2. If someone threatens someone in Public channels of doing something, then repeating the same in IC is that Targeting?
3. If all ORG channels are IC, then how can we identify that the person who is insulting is having a real name and is not using someone else's name? The only way we can do is by checking the roles that are not properly moderated because there are people in all discord who still have roles but are not in Orgs anymore, but in public chat, there are no roles that can make sure that they are actually the same person and not impersonating someone else. Recently, there have been Arrest warrants for people who were saying something about the governor in Public voice.
4. Are the Discord public channels different according to each ORG, and therefore considered differently? For example: Li Public chat is IC, Government is OOC, FIB is OOC and all are like this.
I request you to please clarify this confusion here, because a lot of the players, including me, have heard 2 different things on this. All these Rules are not written anywhere, not even in Discord channels its pinned somewhere that which channels are IC and which are OOC. Please clarify here so that everyone can see, and then we can proceed with the situation accordingly. Thank you
