I'm not sure where to post this thread so I'm going do it here and hopefully we can figure some problems out together and help keep Grand RP a great fun place for all. My complaint is about this 3 hour warning system in place. Now I understand this is an RP server and there are rules in place to keep it a fair ground for everyone. Most of us understand that these rules are put in place to make sure everyone is on the same page with the role playing and not ruining the fun of others, especially when some people only have the chance to play maybe a couple hours a week. With that being said if someone breaks the rules then they broke the rules. By joining the server you agree to all the rules in place. I understand admins really don't get payed enough for the amount of brain farts they have to put up with, I also understand that you all have hundreds of people you're suppose to keep watch over. When servers get this big they have to take more black and white approaches to issues simply due to the amount of issues that come in. I just joined this community and server and I ran into a lot of really cool people playing all sorts of roles. I got robbed and I enjoyed it lol XD. So why I'm here, last night i was robbing an atm and cops showed up and a shootout happened and I was downed. When I was downed the game was letting me talk so I talked. Now I didn't know at the time what was going on, all I knew was that I was shot and downed and could talk. Because I did that, I was put in admin jail for 3 hours, thank God for prime though so it was 1.5 hours really. I'm new to the server, after trying a numerous amount of servers and after reading so many different rules from different discord, I finally found Grand RP and was really enjoying it. I'm an adult who has a key chain fuller then a zookeeper, meaning I've got way too many responsibilities and when I have the time to game, I really do it to relax and destress from the world, otherwise I would play COD XD. Please understand there has to be more people like me out there. 3 hours for breaking a rule in a way that was harmless to others and their overall experience in the game is just going to drive off anyone else in my position. I'd like to get my girl in on this server to cause she was interested but after her seeing everything that happened last night. A warning in my experience is meant to make sure someone understands what they did was wrong but they aren't in trouble cause you believe they didn't know it was wrong. So I understand this is a big server and black and white actions have to be taken, so if someone did a harmless rule break give them an actual warning, put them in jail for like 5 minuets and put a text message or talk to them quickly in person. That gives them time to be like "oh dang ok let me see what's going on." Once I seen I was in there for 3 hours and it took me 30 minuets just to figure out where to find this thread and why I was even in trouble to begin with, I was ready to quit and go to a different server. Because of your awesome community I stuck around and waiting out that time. I'm writing this in hopes that there are admins and people in charge who understand and will hopefully start the ball rolling on changing how players are warned. Maybe have "Harmful" Warnings and "Harmless" Warnings. I don't see the bigger picture and rarely are things that simple, but a man can hope for a better future! FYI I have ADHD, I'm terribly sorry about how all over the place this is. Jessica was good and to the point and was only doing her job as it should be done.
