Dear Sir, I wanted to inform you about a situation I encountered earlier. I was taken hostage, and once the situation was resolved, I turned my radio back on. While restocking, I headed to the gated area to tow a vehicle when a colleague asked if I could wash cars. I agreed, and as I was counting down, we received an alert about a store robbery. I notified him, but he appeared eager to complete his training. Although I’m not part of HRT, I was assisting him as a rookie. Shortly after, we received a 911 call regarding an ATM robbery at Arena. We responded from outside the Ghetto area. When we arrived, some individuals started accusing us of using a Ghetto route and mixing out-of-character (OOC) with in-character (IC) interactions. I opened a ticket, and Admin Jason Pluxury arrived. He explained the rules for approximately 10–15 minutes in a respectful manner. Once he finished, I asked if I could continue role-playing, and I believed he responded with “go on.” Assuming the admin sit was over, I proceeded with the role-play, stating, “I’m going to search you for illegal items,” and confiscated what I found. Suddenly, Jason mentioned I was role-playing during an admin sit and issued a warning along with a 180-minute jail sentence. Initially, I was confused, but once I understood, I requested only jail time without the warning, as I was concerned a warning might end my ability to participate further. I truly misheard him, and his microphone was not very clear. Besides, my Higher Command instructed me to confiscate the item. Although I was hesitant, I respected both higher-ups and lower-ranking officers. I also wanted to complete my duties quickly since I had previously been warned to stay active in SWAT. I understand the importance of rules for maintaining a good role-play environment, but I feel that a warning and a 3-hour jail sentence are quite severe in this case. It was an IC situation—rather than immediately penalizing me, the individual could have called a lawyer or role-played it out by threatening consequences. I was unaware of the rule that prohibits role-playing immediately after an admin sit unless it's clearly ended. I honestly believed the session was over. I kindly ask you to reconsider my warn and jail. I have learned from this mistake and have not repeated it. As I have a four-day weekend, I really enjoy playing on GrandRP; it’s a great way for me to unwind from school stress. Even if I am not unwarned and unjail, I want to continue supporting the server. Thank you very much for your time and understanding.
