One Last Memory
She wakes up alone, weak and sick but the pain that hurts more is knowing he’s not there anymore. From her bed, memories begin to flood in.
Their laughs, their dates by the beach, the day he gave her the promise chain. The way he looked at her like she was his whole world. Then the day it all changed when she collapsed, and the doctors said she was running out of time.
Moments shift even further back… to when they first met. Him in the middle of his gang life. Wild. Untouchable. But somehow, she reached the part of him no one else could.
He couldn’t save her the right way, so he chose the wrong one robbing a bank to pay for her treatment. But on his escape, he was betrayed by his own people. They shot him and took the money, leaving him to die.
Back in the present, she breaks down, crying in the bathroom, drowning in grief. She visits his grave, places flowers beside his name, and whispers goodbye.
Then, with a quiet breath… she ends it all.
Because some love stories don’t fade.
