He asked for a private lawyer, which meant we had to give the suspect the right to make a phone call to their lawyer. I did the same in this case, as you can see in the evidence. The moment I uncuffed him to allow the call, he immediately committed CL to evade punishment in prison, as per G.R. 6.2.
