Rejected Leaving during an arrest and Slurring in Left eye

This man came up to me whilst i was attempting to arrest someone. Provokes me and then decides to open carry and attempt to murder me. I follow the correct procedures to arrest the more serious case and he lies and says he was 'saving me' even though there was nothing for him to save me from. I then follow proper procedure to arrest him and he slurs at me then whilst in reading his rights he leaves while under arrest.
