2. Why do you want to be a leader of this specific organization? (List three reasons with an explanation)
2.1 The primary reason I want to be EMS Leader is to enhance the overall professionalism within the department. This involves ensuring every paramedic is able to abide by the correct medical practices while also showing self-control during emergencies.
2.2 I also want to enhance the internal structure by introducing better internal communications, transparency, and more seamless and automated tools to assist emergency personnel and dispatchers to reduce the lag time and increase efficiency on behalf of the citizens.
2.3 Operationalizing the training of our new hires and our active duty paramedics is a significant reason to want to be in EMS Leadership. I strongly feel that every paramedic is worthy of adequate guidance, quality mentorship, and a solid experiential basis to help them penetrate the confidence level and medical acumen that they need.
2.4 I want the EMS to be able to have a larger outreach throughout the municipality to ensure that the high-risk areas can troubleshoot more readily, and more reliably. This means that the citizens can feel more ‘free’ in the municipality by knowing that they have an emergency backup.
2.5 I feel it to be significant that the members perform within an atmosphere that is both motivating and positive which I feel strongly leads to an increased level of the desired outcome in an impacted and positive atmosphere.
2.6 In the end I want the EMS to be the most highly rated Emergency service in the state. I wish to help maintain the departmental ethos through intelligent and balanced leadership, unwavering dedication, and consistent equity within the EMS department.
3. Your advice for improving the RolePlay level in the organization.
3.1 To improve practice sessions members will be able to review how to properly respond to real life situations with scenario based training.
3.2 Essential elements of medical roleplay must be included in order to build a framework in which members will be able to practice the treatment of patients. It would improve the seriousness of interactions and build on the professionalism to include a description of the injuries and vital sign checks from the character.
3.3 Joint Operations with LEOs will greatly benefit from improved scene control and communication to wrap up emergency roleplay.
3.4 To improve the departments readiness and confidence, strong teamwork of the departments should focus on a weekly drill of EMS scenarios containing multiple victim incidents, fires, or medical extractions.
3.5 Personal interactions with patients should be improved. Greater depth and realism will be achieved with the inclusion of responding to patient questions, treatment plan explanations, aftercare instruction.
3.6 To greatly improve the quality of roleplay, a respectful serious environment should be maintained in order to improve working conditions and reduce disruptions.
