Life Story:
Jason Pope was born in Salem, Oregon and in early life moved to Liberty City. There he focused on academics and LAN parties throughout middle and high school. Though rarely in the spotlight, he amassed friends in all walks of life which built him a mini network among his peers. This came in handy as it could help solve any problem he ran into. He took every event seriously, even small LAN parties or camping trips.
In high school Jason took particular enjoyment from debate classes, debate tournaments, public speaking events, civics, history, and even health studies. He has a few trophies from his time in these areas.
In early adulthood, Jason spent time between California and Arizona with long time friend from high school, Eli Feddy. They explored transportation and long-distance delivery jobs between the states while Jason worked toward law degrees and Eli explored criminal justice. Their delivery routes became increasingly chaotic and dangerous. After a particularly egregious event involving attacks from a predatory truck (that resulted in Jason and Eli running the vehicle into a river), they ended their careers in transportation.
Jason completed classes out of Arizona Summit School of Law, passed the Arizona state bar, and obtained his Juris Doctorate shortly before Arizona Summit was shut down. He worked for a short time as a corporate lawyer for a fast food business, and later at a generalist law firm.
During this time he developed a romanticized view of law and justice, as well as a “prepper” tendency. World history and his own experiences pushed him to prepare for widespread societal collapse scenarios. This included setting up private computer networks, stocking up on firearms and survival gear, and increasing his first aid and medical knowledge.
After age thirty, he moved to Los Santos along with Eli, seeking opportunities at a more exciting legal career…
[At time of writing, Jason Pope has passed his bar exam in San Andreas and has been working as a senior attorney.]
Outcomes:
1-[Myopia] Jason has myopia which limits his eyesight when not wearing glasses. The glasses and shades he wears are prescription, and should they be knocked off he will have trouble seeing distances and driving. (While wearing a mask, it is assumed he has glasses or contacts on underneath.) He often carries spare glasses.
Effect: Must have impaired distance vision and impaired driving when not wearing glasses or stated to be wearing contacts, but may replace lost glasses at will when able (deep pockets of glasses)
2-[Hidden Camera] Due to Jason’s prepper tendencies and computer networking hobbies, after being attacked during deliveries in his 20s he started wearing tie clips with built-in body cameras. They are always considered on and uploading to his servers.
Effect: Always considered recording and uploading footage to personal servers
3-[RP Driving Exceptions] With Jason’s history of professional driving through various terrain through Arizona and California, as well as urban environments such as Liberty City, and his history escaping attackers in such conditions, he is able to drive off-road or take uncouth pathing through cities if he feels an emergency justifies it. These emergencies may include “legal” emergencies on behalf of his clients.
Effect: may drive outside of standard “RP” driving in response to an emergency, even if it is a “legal” emergency in his mind. This may not protect him from IC legal repercussions of violating driving law
4-[Education] Jason’s interest in academics extends beyond the classroom and into hobbies. He has working knowledge in many fields one may not expect of a lawyer, such as medical, pharmaceutical, history, nutrition, programming, marketing, and astronomy

5-[The Legal Eagle] Jason has a deep, romanticized view of law and justice. When combined with his prepper factors and history defending himself on the road in Arizona, he periodically adopts a quasi-super hero persona referred to as “The Legal Eagle.” Typically, this is just him with an eagle head piece on. Despite hiding his face, anyone who knows Jason will almost instantly be able to recognize him in this guise as he is terrible at changing his voice or mannerisms. However, while “The Legal Eagle,” Jason is far more likely to stand up to danger and threats (granting slight leeway in Fear RP), and may include him responding to RDM type situations with return fire to protect people and “Lady Justice.” He may also show up to hostage situations to offer services to LEOs, including hostage negotiation or other requests. It is expected he will often be considered cringe and sent away, however.

- can suddenly change clothing into his “Legal Eagle” outfit by stepping out of sight for a moment
- can resist some fear RP within reason while wearing an eagle mask
- can be identified as himself easily by people who know him despite wearing masks (even if he doesn’t want them to recognize him)
- may respond to violence with violence to protect people from RDM while wearing an eagle mask.
- may arrive at law enforcement emergency situations or events as the “Legal Eagle” persona and request to insert himself into the situation’s solution (still fine to be shunned and sent away by LEOs)
