We were conducting a High Command interview of a candidate named Tayyab. During the interview, we asked him several basic and role-related questions. However, he was unable to answer more than half of the questions, and he also had no knowledge of Miranda Rights, which is a fundamental requirement.
Due to his poor performance in the interview, we decided to demote him by 3 ranks.
After the demotion, he requested that we fire him immediately. We clearly informed him that this was not possible, as 7 days had not yet passed, and we were also not sure whether he had signed the contract or not. We further explained that until the person who originally hired him is present, we cannot terminate his employment.
Following this, the candidate lost his temper and started using abusive language inside the Interview SAHP Voice Channel, which is considered IC (In-Character). He initially began abusing in Hindi, and while doing so, he made derogatory remarks referring to the language as “Pathaan”, which is offensive.
After that, he brought India and my country into the conversation, making unnecessary and inappropriate remarks, and then continued to abuse in English as well.
This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable, especially during an official High Command interview conducted in an IC environment.
