I would like to appeal the punishment issued against me for alleged stalling, as I believe the situation was misunderstood.
At the time of the incident, I was an on-duty NG official and was in the middle of a gang robbery. This was the first time I had ever been robbed by a gang in the city, so I was genuinely overwhelmed and confused by everything happening around me. There was a lot of commotion, and multiple people were talking at once, which made it difficult for me to clearly understand the instructions being given.
When I was told to put my hands up, I complied as soon as I understood the command. After that, I was instructed to drop certain items. For a few moments, I was confused about what exactly was being asked and whether I was supposed to hand the items over or physically drop them. At the same time, they were already searching me and taking a lot of my belongings, including my money and other items, so I was under the impression that they were already able to take things from me themselves. Because of that, I was also unsure whether they were even speaking directly to me at that moment or simply continuing the robbery process on their own.
Once I started understanding the demand, I began complying and attempted to hand over the items to the gang member next to me. Then one of the gang members verbally insulted me and clarified that I was supposed to drop the items instead. At that point, I understood what was meant and was about to comply properly, but before I could do so, the admin jailed me immediately without any prior questioning or attempt to understand the situation.
I tried to explain myself in-game, but my appeal was dismissed and I was told to make a forum complaint instead. That is why I am posting this appeal here.
I want to make it clear that I had no intention of stalling, refusing roleplay, or delaying the scene on purpose. My delay was purely due to confusion, inexperience in such a situation, and difficulty processing the instructions during a tense robbery scenario. I respectfully ask that the situation be reviewed in full context, as I believe it will show that this was not intentional stalling.
I also believed that I had bodycam footage of the incident to support my appeal, but unfortunately it was not saved as I had thought. Even so, I am still submitting this appeal honestly and in good faith so that the situation can be reviewed fairly.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I now understand this punishment has affected my ability to join the National Guards organization. As a first-time player in such a situation, I did not realize this incident would have such harsh consequences. This is extremely disappointing for me personally and also in the way the matter was handled, especially when I have no prior strikes, no prior complaints, and no history of misconduct on my record.
I respectfully ask that my clean record, my inexperience in this type of situation, and the full context of the roleplay be taken into consideration when reviewing this appeal.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
