Hello everyone,
I need some advice or support regarding a situation I recently found myself in. I was jailed, and I’m trying to get my side of the story out there. Here’s the situation:
I had been in a very toxic family environment, with controlling and abusive behavior, so I decided to leave. After leaving, one of my family members started making serious threats and demands that I come back. This person even went so far as to threaten me with violence if I didn’t return.
On top of that, there was another person involved who also made threats, telling me if I came back, they'd kill me. These threats made me feel unsafe and cornered.

The reason I’m even mentioning this is because I had planted a battery before I left that family and had an hour left, and I wanted to retrieve it. But when I attempted to get my battery, things escalated. In the chaos, I ran over the person making the threats, and now I’ve been jailed for it.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any recordings or solid evidence of the threats that were made, but I need to make it clear that I acted in self-defense, not out of malice.
If anyone has advice on how to proceed or can help me clear my name, I’d greatly appreciate it.
