A roleplay interaction with two FIB agents at the Capitol devolved into multiple rule violations, specifically Powergaming and Metagaming, which completely broke the immersion and quality of the scenario.
Timestamps & Violations:
- 10:28 – The FIB agents first approach me at the Capitol to initiate the interaction.
- 11:32 – Powergaming (PG) / Fail RP 6.2: I attempted to detain the agents after they claimed to have drugs. ID 369409 used script mechanics to instantly remove his partner's handcuffs. This is a clear case of Powergaming, as he used a game command to force a "win" and bypass the roleplay of being detained without any realistic interaction.
- 13:28 – Metagaming (MG) / Mixing: Player ID 369409 began talking In-Character (IC) about "my scarf," which was not visually present on my character. When I clarified this via /ooc message, he immediately responded to my OOC message using his IC voice chat. This is a blatant violation of Metagaming (using OOC information in-character).
Rules Broken:
- Powergaming (PG): Using mechanics (removing handcuffs) to instantly negate a detention without providing a chance for a realistic RP outcome.
- Metagaming (MG): Bringing OOC chat information regarding a scarf into IC dialogue and responding to /ooc messages through voice chat (Mixing).
- Fail RP (6.2): Acting in a manner completely unrealistic for an FIB agent and refusing to maintain the quality of the roleplay environment.
