I got banned from Redux for no reason—I’ve never actually used it in my life; I just downloaded it to try it out.
Last night, the admin ran a system check on my PC, and everything came back clean. Also, I had bought a new computer about two weeks ago and had opened a technical forum thread, which had been approved. Later, when the admin checked my Downloads folder, there were three Redux files. For the past two weeks, I’ve only been using the first one I downloaded; I downloaded the other two just to try them out from a legitimate mod server, but I didn’t like them and didn’t use them. I explained this to the admin—for the past two weeks, I’ve been playing with just the one I’m currently using, which is the first Redux I downloaded. You can check all my POVs. However, there was something illegal in the “Babalette” Redux file in my Downloads folder, which I had downloaded just to look at and test. The admin saw this while checking the Redux files I had previously downloaded in the Open IV app. I had downloaded this Redux solely for testing purposes; I never used it in any event or under normal circumstances—I just tested it and removed it. I explained that they could have verified all my POVs as well. The reason I didn’t delete that Redux was that I didn’t want it to appear as a “cleaning” issue if I went through a PC check, because I’m a completely legal player—I’ve never done anything illegal. Aside from that Redux, all the downloaded files were completely clean. And that’s why I received a 60-day ban. I believe my ban was unfair. I really enjoy playing on the En 2 server. I’ve previously held many ranks on this server, including Admin, Gang Leader, and LSPD Leader. It’s very frustrating to be banned for something that wasn’t my fault and that I never used.
In order to continue playing on this server, which I truly enjoy, I am requesting that this ban—which I do not believe I deserve—be removed.
