Life story
Nina grew up in a tough environment where violence was never far away. The council estate she called home was filled with crime, and violence From an early age she learned to stay alert and think for herself knowing that one wrong decision could change everything
Unlike many people around her, Nina always wanted to make something of herself. She understood that her surroundings did not have to decide her future. Through hard work she learned to overcome obstacles and focus on building a better life.
Life has not always been easy, and Nina has faced her share of setbacks. However, those experiences helped shape her into a strong and resilient woman.
Career Story
Nina's interest in corrections began with her desire to work in a environment where every day presented new challenges. Before entering corrections she gained valuable public service experience working in both EMS and the LSPD where she developed strong communication problem solving, and crisis management skills. Seeking a career that offered both responsibility and purpose
she later joined the state prison service and quickly adapted to the role she became known for her ability to remain calm in high pressure situations and for her willingness to support both colleagues and inmates when needed. Her approachable nature enabled her to build positive and productive working relationships throughout the facility.
Over the years, Nina gained valuable experience and developed a understanding of prison operations. Her commitment to her responsibilities, combined with her positive attitude and professionalism earned the respect and recognition of those she worked alongside. in her experience in EMS and the LSPD, she brings a well rounded perspective to her work professionalism, Today she continues to serve with pride to improve her skills
