Life Story:​

Ato Teala was born among the cracked concrete sidewalks and rusty fire escapes of Los Santos' darkest neighborhoods. Growing up in these streets meant fighting daily just to survive. His mother worked two exhausting jobs to keep food on the table, while his father had been shot and killed during a brutal robbery years earlier. Although Ato was only five years old at the time, seeing the sheer terror in the eyes of the neighborhood kids made him realize a harsh truth: his father was never coming back, and the streets held no mercy.

By the time Ato turned 10, the environment had forced him to adapt, and he learned how to handle a firearm for self-defense. One fateful night, a street confrontation went horribly wrong. Ato returned home with blood on his hands, trembling as he told his mother it was an accident.

He couldn't shake that night from his memory; the guilt of taking a life weighed heavily on his conscience. Constantly asking himself, “What am I going to do with my life?”, his trajectory changed when he spotted a recruitment brochure on a bulletin board reading: “The Army Wants You.” Seeking redemption and a way to bury his dark past, Ato decided to enlist and dedicate his life to serving his country.

Career Story:​

No matter how loyally and bravely Ato served in the military, misfortune seemed to follow him. During his service, his closest brother-in-arms was framed and dishonorably discharged for a crime he didn’t commit. High-ranking officers ordered the unit to remain silent and look the other way, but Ato’s sense of loyalty wouldn't allow him to obey such corrupt orders. Realizing that the system was broken from within, Ato understood that playing by the rules would never bring justice for his friend.

To fight fire with fire, Ato decided to become a corrupt operative. He realized that to expose the truth and survive in the intelligence world, he had to operate in the shadows and engage in illegal activities. After leaving the military with a decorated record, Ato climbed the law enforcement ranks swiftly, earning his spot within the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB). Now embedded deep inside the American intelligence apparatus, Ato uses his position to gather resources, break the prejudices of the system, and do whatever it takes to clear his friend's name.

2. Bribery: Ato can accept bribes (up to a maximum of $100,000) and confiscate illegal items to let suspects go free instead of arresting them.
