Today I received a 60 day ban for Abusing State Control.
Honestly, I didnt even know what Abusing State Control was. the server suddenly crashed and when it came back our rights were reset. before the crash our 2 attack rights were already gone and we only had 1 defense left.
After the server came back, I was told that Weda had attacked us. When I got back to my pc after the event, families were still attacking each other and everything seemed to be continuing normally. because of that and because there was no warning or information, we didn't think there was anything wrong. Looking back now, maybe I should have realized it, but at that moment everything was a mess and I simply didn't think about it that way.
Families like Weda, Mage, Escobar and others were still continuing, so to us it looked like the server was just carrying on as usual.
slime asked me who made the attack from olympos. the truth is I wasn't even completely sure myself, but I said it was probably me because I usually handle those attacks. I'm not trying to avoid responsibility or blame someone else.
This wasnt done to gain an advantage. We weren't trying to abuse anything and we weren't looking for a loophole. We just continued playing because everything around us made it seem like that was what everyone was doing.
I understand that I should have been more careful. That's on me and I accept that.
What really hurts is the length of the punishment. a 60 day ban is the maximum punishment and it's honestly devastating for me. Ive spent nearly 2 years on this server and I feel like I could lose everything because of a mistake that wasn't intentional.
I'm not saying I did nothing wrong. im saying this was never done knowingly or deliberately. It was a mistake during a very chaotic situation and I'm genuinely sorry for it.
im asking you to please reconsider this punishment and, if possible, remove it or at least reduce it. I respect whatever decision is made, but I'm genuinely afraid of losing everything I've worked for because of a mistake that was never intentional. We did not knowingly or deliberately do this, and there was never any bad intention behind it. Losing everything I've built on the server over something that happened in a moment of confusion is honestly heartbreaking. I can only ask that you take that into consideration when reviewing my appeal.
I understand that I should have seen this coming. Even if there wasn't a warning, I should have stopped and thought about it myself.
But 30 to 60 days is honestly a very heavy punishment. This whole situation has been extremely stressful for me and it's definitely taught me a lesson I won't forget. I've always tried to respect the rules of this server and play by them. I've never been someone who intentionally looks for ways around the rules or tries to gain an unfair advantage.
a moment of poor judgment and not thinking things through shouldn't end up costing this much.
