Life Story
Ricco Navarro was born in Madrid, Spain. When he was 9 years old his mother passed away after being sick for a long time. After that it was just him and his father. His father worked long hours almost every day to pay the bills and keep food on the table. Most of the time he wasn’t home which meant Ricco spent a lot of his childhood by himself.
Ricco grew up in a poor neighborhood where crime was everywhere. It wasn’t unusual to see police cars fights in the streets or people getting arrested. As he got older he started hanging around the wrong people from time to time and got himself into trouble here and there. Nothing major but enough to see how easy it was for someone to end up going down the wrong path.
Growing up where he did showed him both sides of life. He saw people making quick money through crime but he also saw what it did to families and the people living around them. After a while Ricco knew he wanted something different for himself.
At the age of 20 he left Spain and moved to Los Santos hoping for a fresh start and better opportunities.
Career Story
After moving to Los Santos Ricco joined the Los Santos Police Department. Growing up around crime was one of the main reasons he wanted to become a police officer. He had seen enough problems in his own neighborhood and wanted to be part of something better.
In the beginning Ricco enjoyed the job. He followed the rules listened to his superiors and did his best to help people whenever he could. He believed that if you worked hard and stayed honest things would eventually work out.
After a while he started noticing things that didn’t really sit right with him. Some officers worked hard every day and seemed to get nowhere while others always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He also noticed that certain criminals somehow managed to avoid serious consequences because they had money influence or knew the right people.
Seeing the same things happen over and over again slowly changed the way Ricco looked at the job. He still wants to do good and help people but he no longer believes everything is as fair as he once thought. These days he often finds himself wondering if always following the rules is really enough to get ahead in Los Santos.
