Ricco Navarro was born in Madrid Spain. His parents divorced when he was young and he stayed with his father and younger brother. His father worked as a truck driver and was away from home most of the week which meant Ricco had a lot of freedom growing up.
School was never really his thing. He wasn’t stupid but he never enjoyed sitting in classrooms all day. Most of his time was spent outside with friends or helping around local garages. He got interested in cars at a young age and enjoyed working with his hands more than studying.
As he got older he started working small jobs to make some money for himself. He learned how to talk to people and how to handle himself in difficult situations. He wasn’t always around the best people and got into trouble a few times but nothing serious enough to ruin his future.
By the time Ricco turned 20 he felt like he was going nowhere in Madrid. Every day felt the same and he wanted something more out of life. After talking with a few people who had moved abroad he decided to leave Spain and move to Los Santos for a fresh start.

He also noticed the same criminals coming back over and over again. Some would get arrested and a few days later be back on the streets acting like nothing happened. The more he saw the more he started paying attention to how things really worked.
These days Ricco still does his job and still tries to help people but he doesn’t look at things the same way anymore. It often feels like money connections and favors matter more than honesty. Seeing the same things happen again and again has changed the way he looks at the city and the people in it.
