Hello, I was banned from the Grand RP discord last year for Racism in media.
The reason for my punishment was a joke I made inside the media channel of the server. If I remember correctly I was taunting a post about recruitment to the LSPD,
because it said one of the requirements was fluent english and I replied with an image of it saying "Fluent English
Fluent Indish
", hinting at there being a lot of Indian members in the organization.
At the time I didn't really think much about it, I just tried making a funny joke which later looking back I understand wasn't really funny at all. I don't actually have anything against Indians, not at all, I was just trying to be funny and yeah... It was pretty stupid of me and I do regret it and i'm sorry if I made anyone upset about the joke.
I did try and appeal this last year, but looking back at the appeal I made it was really bad and not anything close to as sincere as this.
I understand as a community you are strongly against comments like these because it creates toxicity within the server. Still, I do hope there's a way for me to get a second chance as I've learnt my lesson. You have probably also heard this a lot, but I do promise I will never do anything like this ever again. I have been a community member of this game since late April 2021 being 5 years ago now and it was a one time slip up from me, I have never in those 4 years I was not banned been punished inside that server, except maybe being timed out for tagging hireups. Which is really minor compared to my ban.
