Subject: Appeal of Demorgan 120 Minutes — UB Driving During Active Hot Pursuit
I am respectfully appealing the Demorgan punishment of 120 minutes issued to me for alleged UB driving during an active hot pursuit situation.
Summary of Events:
I was pursuing a wanted criminal in an active hot pursuit situation. In order to prevent the suspect from escaping I crossed a minor terrain incline between two roads. The suspect was subsequently apprehended. However the driver then Combat Logged to avoid RP consequences, which was correctly punished.
Grounds for Appeal:
1. Legislative Support — Civil Code 3.2 Principle of Urgency:
State employees are obliged to react without undue delay and take whatever measures are reasonable in the circumstances. Crossing a minor terrain incline during active hot pursuit is a reasonable measure to prevent a wanted criminal from escaping.
2. UB Definition Not Met:
Unrealistic Behavior is defined as actions that are unrealistic or hurt the RP experience of other players. Police vehicles crossing terrain during pursuits is entirely realistic. Furthermore my action ENHANCED RP by maintaining pursuit, it did not hurt anyone's RP experience.
3. Disproportionate Punishment:
A Demorgan of 120 minutes is a severe punishment for a grey area situation during active pursuit. Even if the action is considered borderline — the severity of 120 minutes Demorgan is disproportionate for an offense in an unclear situation especially when the action was taken in good faith to enforce RP and apprehend a wanted criminal.
Conclusion:
I acted in good faith during active hot pursuit using reasonable measures supported by legislation to apprehend a wanted criminal. The punishment of 120 minutes Demorgan is disproportionate for this situation. I respectfully request the punishment be reviewed and removed by the chief administrator.
Thank you for your time.
