I was passively roleplaying and following a police officer. Without any prior roleplay interaction, demands, or valid reason, another player suddenly attacked and killed the police officer, and then turned around and killed me as well. This is a clear case of Random Deathmatch (RDM), as there was no roleplay leading up to my death, and I was completely uninvolved in any conflict.
