Hello Chiefs,
I would like to respectfully share my concern regarding the recent LI Leader application results. The person selected for the leadership position has never been a part of LI before and, from my understanding, does not have prior experience working within the organization.
As the current LI Deputy Head of Department (DHOD) of HR, I have been involved in the organization and understand how LI functions internally. I believe there were several other candidates who have dedicated a significant amount of time to LI, served in important positions such as HC and COO, and gained valuable experience through managing departments, employees, and daily operations. Seeing experienced members who have continuously contributed to LI not getting the opportunity while someone without previous LI experience was selected feels unfair to those who have worked hard for the organization.
LI is a private organization, and its working style is completely different from other state organizations. The responsibilities, recruitment process, employee management, workflow, and overall structure require proper understanding and experience within LI. A leadership position carries a lot of responsibility, and having someone who already understands the organization’s system and culture could help maintain stability and future growth.
I completely respect the authority of the Chiefs and the decision-making process. I would also like to clarify that I did not apply for the Leader position myself, so this concern is not coming from personal interest or disappointment. I am sharing this because I care about LI and believe the efforts, loyalty, and experience of long-serving members should receive fair consideration.
Therefore, I kindly request that this decision be reviewed once again. If possible, I believe reopening the applications and allowing experienced and deserving candidates another fair opportunity would be a better step for the future of LI.
I hope this message is considered positively and that the concerns of the members who have dedicated their time and effort to LI are taken into account.
