Event Details:​

To promote literacy, quick thinking, and creative roleplay within the state, the LSPD is hosting an official speed typing and spelling competition. Citizens will gather at the Diamond Casino parking lot where LSPD officers will distribute a cardboard piece and a felt-tip pen to every participant. An LSPD host will clearly announce complex words or phrases in English. Participants must quickly and correctly write out the exact words on their cardboard. Points will be awarded to the fastest individuals who display the perfectly spelled words to the judges. This event focuses strictly on mental sharpness, typing speed, and lighthearted community interaction.

How the Event Works:​

• Phase 1 (The Setup): Participants gather at the Diamond Casino parking lot and are handed their cardboard and felt-tip pen by LSPD staff.
• Phase 2 (The Prompt): The LSPD host announces an English word or phrase to the entire crowd.
• Phase 3 (The Race): Participants quickly type and write down the word on their cardboard, raising it up immediately for the judges to see.
• Phase 4 (The Verdict): Points are tracked across multiple rounds. The participant who accumulates the most total points by the end is declared the winner.

Rules of the Event:​

• Participants must only use the cardboard and felt-tip pen issued by the LSPD.
• Spelling and punctuation must match the host's prompt exactly; typos will not receive points.
• Any disruptive behavior, shouting over the host, or weapon usage will result in immediate disqualification.
• Standard server rules apply at all times.
