So I was banned on the Grand Discord for saying something like "Bro why the fuck cant i fucking log into the game right now" since it was refusing to load in when i tried to press the "log in" button. Which I understand that was not the most mature or nicest thing to say into the general chat, But if any staff had just asked me to remove the message and not curse, I would have instantly said "sorry, wont happen again" and deleted it.
But instead I was banned.
Which is not why I am here, but it is the context.
I messaged staff chat in game to ask why since i was frustrated by the lack of clarification and the fact that I felt like I was being punished in a really extreme way for something that could have been solved with a simple verbal warning or a mute.
When trying to explain what happened to Kayce in the staff chat in game I was trying to say the statement I repeated above in quotation marks.
But since the server code PHYSICALLY stops you from sending a message with proper grammar I was unable to send a message using quotations. Resulting in what I assume was Kayce thinking i was cursing HIM out when I was simply trying to repeat what I had said on discord and ask why that was a ban instead of a mute or something.
I had no intention to curse Kayce out, nor is that what my message wished to convey. The message I WISH to have written is as follows:
--- I wasn't hacked. I said "Why the fuck can't I fucking log in?" and was banned for that. That is literally as extreme as executing someone who sneezed on you. ---
What he INSTEAD received was
--- Wasnt hacked. I said Why the fuck cant i fucking log in? and was banned for that. That is literally just as extreme as executing someone who sneezed on you ---
The problem here is without the ability to use quotation marks, My message can be read in an ENTIRELY different context which makes it seem like I was trying to belittle Kayce. Which I was not.
So I am sorry for how the message came across. Again I assure it was not my intention. It was an unfortunate miscommunication caused by awkward chat restrictions.
But instead I was banned.
