Ricco Navarro was born in Malaga, Spain. At a young age, his father was arrested for drug trafficking and sentenced to several years in prison. From that moment on, Ricco lived alone with his younger brother while their mother worked long shifts every day to provide enough money to support the family. Because she was almost never home, Ricco was forced to grow up quickly and take care of both himself and his younger brother.
Growing up without a father figure was difficult. Ricco learned to become independent at a very young age. He made sure his younger brother went to school every morning while he slowly started spending more and more time outside. The neighborhood they lived in was known for gangs, violence, and drug dealing. Being surrounded by that environment every day exposed him to the criminal lifestyle. He watched people earn money illegally, saw violence become a normal way of solving problems, and realized that people with money or power often escaped consequences.
Although he was surrounded by crime, Ricco stayed away from serious criminal activities. Instead, he worked small legal jobs after school to help his mother pay the bills while continuing to look after his younger brother. Those responsibilities made him mentally stronger but also caused him to develop anger issues and trust problems because he rarely had anyone he could rely on.
