It was July 28th, 1985 on a subtle Tuesday morning when my life changed. You see, my mother insisted that I went to school but I was more like my father. I guess he was some guy named "CJ". This is the part of the story where I tell you the origins of 151 and the Gyp Mob. You see, by time I turned 15, I dropped Outta School and was in and out of foster care in the Davis and Strawberry areas. When I was in Idlewood Foster care I met all the dudes that I cliqued up with. There was Debo, Todd, Ali, Jamal, and my lil bro Austin; man, really too many to name. Back then we used to make money for weed and caine by beating other kids for drug deals. After we got a bit older we bought or first straps and were robbing dice games. By time I was 17; we had purchased an arsenal of automatic weapons, teamed up with Ballas to rob almost every drug distributor in the east side of LS, and kicked Families and the Vagos out of Grove. This was where we were known as the Dirty Gyp Mob aka GYPMXBB. You would always hear people say, “Fuck those damn Gyps” or “THAT GUY GYPED ME!” That should give you an idea of where the name came from. We were truly young, stupid, violent and strapped. The Gyp Mob would literally chill at Pizza Stack in Davis all day, smoke PCP laced marijuana, and rob anybody they could away with it with. In this phase of the gang me and Debo became tighter and tighter. You never saw us apart. We used the stack as a base of operations and a means to find new members for our stick-up gang. Finding loyal members to join a family with so much beef on the plate was never an easy task, especially in a warzone like Davis and West Vinewood. The GypMXBB still stood tall.
- Take care of our members and protect our reputation
- To extort all of the businesses in the ghetto and so forth
- To expand our territory from the ghetto to Vinewood
