Life story
Tyrell is an extremely loyal person who has issues with getting to trust other people. Once he does gain trust in someone he will be loyal to him/her and help wherever possible. He will be there when his friends or job requires him to. Tyrell is known as a joker and likes to make fun of people. He is known for his dark humour.
Tyrell was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is where he lived till the age of 16. Together with his father, Ernesto Johnson, and his mother, Linda Jansen, he moved to the city of Los Santos, USA.
His father, Ernesto Johnson, was an officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy and had been away from home a lot during the childhood of Tyrell. Linda had a tough time during these periods and really missed her husband. This made Tyrell feel like he always had to protect his mother and always wanted to be there for her when she needed it. This has caused great loyalty towards her. At the same time Tyrell had a tough time at school. He had a few friends that he was very close to, however, he also had a few archenemies. They used to make fun of him and beat him up, only for the fact that he was black. This caused severe trust issues to Tyrell. Growing up he still finds it very hard to gain trust in people and is usually very suspicious of new strangers that come into his life. Due to the beatings during his childhood he is known to defend himself wherever needed. He will never engage first, but always wait till he is threatened by others. Once they do attack him he will do everything in his power to get out of the situation.
Tyrells mother, Linda, had a job as a police officer. In the police culture it is a very common thing to put situations into perspective using very dark humour. His mom used to do this, both at the job and at home. For Tyrell this resulted in having good fun with dark humour as well. He also used this to make fun of his hard time at school. Tyrell was told a lot about the job as a police officer by his mom. She used to tell great stories of catching suspects, but also horrific stories about bloody murder scenes. As a result of this Tyrell got used to seeing bloody pictures and he had his boundaries of fear pushed. Tyrell doesn’t fear tough situations, but always wants to respect the law. Tyrell found out he is very calm in stressful situations.
Due to all the struggles Tyrell had in The Netherlands he decided to move to the USA when he turned 19 years old. He moved to the small city of Los Santos, San Andreas. This is where he thought he could live a quiet life surrounded with people that would understand him and respect him for who he is. This is also where he decided to apply for a job in the military. After careful considerations he decided to apply to the National Guard. He wanted to experience the adventures his father had gone through, but at the same time wanted to catch suspects of all forms like his mother used to do.
Career story
As a former deputy in the National Guard he is used to a military structure. This was clearly noticeable during his time as the Chief of the Los Santos Police Department. He used to run a strict policy and feels like this is for everyone’s best interest, both the employees of the Los Santos Police Department and the citizens of Los Santos. After a very successful term as a chief Tyrell spread his wings to the FIB. Here he used his skills gained in the National Guard and became a Long Range Specialist, always carrying a sniper rifle on him.
With the forced step down of their FIB director Tyrell decided to study for public defender and gained his Lawyers License. He now practises law on a daily basis. With his experience as Law Enforcement leader and agent he was more than capable to defend those on the wrong side of the law.
However, defending criminals wasn’t his thing, he rather used his capabilities to defend those protecting the law, he returned to the Los Santos Police Department and became their second deputy, but above all their District Attorney. Tyrell is now back on the right side of the law and fights those unwilling to follow these laws.
While in the Los Santos Police Department Tyrell felt like he should be available 24/7. He will act against criminals, even while off-duty. He will do whatever he can to stop them from committing criminal offences and will do his best to make sure they get the sentence they deserve. Tyrell is someone who really doesn’t fear much, in sticky situations he will do whatever is needed to get justice. He will call for backup when he can, but is also not afraid to use violence himself. His loyalty to the organisation makes him to never surrender anything related to any of the state organisations, whether it comes to information or equipment.
Tyrell then felt the state needed a change for the better, so he decided to run for Governor. After some very dirty elections Tyrell became the Governor. He changed some very important laws to make the city harder for criminals. After having a tough time running the government Tyrell decided it was time for a break to get the much required time off.
After about two months Tyrell was completely rested and fully able to focus on making the state a better place to live. He decided to move to a new place and to start over. He found out a lot of people he knew also moved. That’s when Tyrell decided to help out the government of the newest state. He stepped up and became Deputy Governor to help out where he could. However, Tyrell also had to think of making a living. The new state turned out to be a massively inflated economy. This is why Tyrell tries to sell anything he comes across, legal or illegal.

7. Tyrell always has a 360-degree body cam on his shoulder pet (turned on with RP commands).
