This incident happened on Friday the 29th of December and the only reason I'm making the complaint now is because I hoped speaking directly to the person in question could resolve the issue aswell as RL work making it difficult to do it.
What happened was the result of a post on Ingrand by a gang directed at the National Guard of which I am currently a member but suspended due to the 14 day ban given to me by Jessica Odds who was one of the Admin or as they are know as in city "Gods" who were present at the time.
It happened after the event that is called "Subs" and me and the rest of the NG who attended were on the way back to base when one of our members mentioned that one of the gangs had posted acouple of pictures on the afore mentioned Ingrand showing them first at the start of the bridge that leads to south gate and then a second showing them standing in the main hanger on our base.
This I will admit annoyed me and felt like a challenge to us which when viewed through a certain viewpoint it is as the gangs would feel the same way if we the NG or one of the other orgs did the same at their HQ or turf as would any one of the many criminal families would but to continue would get off subject.
So to get back onto the subject in question I will focus on what lead to the visit from Jessica and her colleague.
Upon seeing the pictures myself I was incensed to post our own pictures in the same locations once we saw no one was there waiting but I was talked out of doing it and while I was still angry I decided to blow off steam by flying a helicopter during which the base was attacked but subdued which then lead to the incident.
While flying around the runway area of Fort Zancudo, I was called back to main barracks where upon landing I was met with the sight of many of my fellow NG and two Admins discussing the issue which I decided to weigh in on which lead to my ban.
The discussion in question was about what lead to the visit which was a picture taken by one of the members with unconscious members of the attacking gangs which the admins felt was wrong but not specifically the content but mostly because it was taken by a LEO who they felt was wrong.
At this point I should add Jessica and her colleague feel that as LEOs we should be more virtuous and have more restraint, essentially they feel we should be Boy Scouts or Angels who don't fall to temptation.
Jessica's colleague even went as far as telling me if I wanted to do such things I should join a gang aswell as make the excuse that its because people are in gangs that they do such things.
Essentially blaming gang mentality as the reason while forgetting that the people playing said gang members aren't actually in gangs in real life and do such things because they get a kick out of it and it makes them laugh.
I would like to add them we talked about the roleplay aspect and how I was mixing due to using real life example for my argument to which I pointed out the futility of their point since Grand isn't fulltime RP in that there is no rule that states when logged into the game you have to fully embody your character.
But again we are getting off subject so will return to it.
At this point Jessica was getting frustrated that I wasn't willing to do as she wanted aswell as feeling disrespected due to my not willing to view her as she had become accustomed i.e. a "God" which lead to her banned me for 14 days.
A 14 day ban is way to severe for what happened and while I am no way innocent myself, Jessica doing what she did was over the top and should be examined.
I will end my complaint by requesting a reduction of my ban to 1 week as I could have stopped at anytime by listening to the people around me telling me to do so, but like Jessica, my anger at the previous incident and her and her colleague being way to ridged caused me to continue which I regret.
