Using redux it's totally up to you. We never recommend or promote any kind of modification in game. But you there is any issues with your PC configuration you can use redux but those which only gives you FPS boost and visual clarity. Hence the thread owner will not get any punishment for his redux even though if it is illegal because from the part of his POV there nothing found which breaks Gen Rule 4.1
