I approached the area to join the event, and out of nowhere, he shot and killed me.

I got out of the car to get to the event and as I was opening my POV they suddenly shot me, so there is no long POV. But can they shoot me for any reason before the incident? Event rule 1.2 states that they can't kill me, and I was able to catch this part when I opened my perspective after being shot. Depending on your perspective, it's clear they killed me. Then they sent me to the hospital. I can't offer a longer pov on this situation.
