I am writing to report a violation of server rules that occurred during a recent roleplay situation involving a kidnapping. I was playing as a police officer with the LSPD, and the following sequence of events transpired:
- Incident Description:
- I was kidnapped by criminals and subsequently released. After my release, I apprehended one of the suspects involved in the kidnapping. Upon arriving at the prison and extracting the suspect from the vehicle, a third party, presumably an accomplice of the suspect, shot him in an attempt to evade arrest.
- Relevant Rules Violated:
- Deathmatching (DM):
- Definition: "Killing another person without a sufficient roleplay reason (deathmatching) is not allowed."
- Violation: The shooting of the suspect was conducted without a valid roleplay reason, primarily to avoid arrest. This act was not justified within the roleplay context and is a clear case of deathmatching.
- Powergaming (PG):
- Definition: "Powergaming can be defined as performing acts that are not humanlike; forcing roleplay on others without giving them a fair chance; making up things which did not happen so that you can benefit."
- Violation: The act of shooting to escape arrest, especially in such a manner, is not realistic and can be considered powergaming. It disregards the established roleplay dynamics and aims to unfairly influence the outcome of the situation.
- Mercy Killing:
- Rule 6.13: "It is restricted to kill a person who is unconscious to help him to avoid RP situation (Mercy killing)."
- Violation: If the suspect was unconscious or incapacitated, shooting him to avoid the roleplay consequences of arrest constitutes a mercy kill, which is against the rules.
- Non-RP Behavior:
- Definition: "Doing things that are considered not sufficient to be considered good standard roleplay depending on the situation at hand."
- Violation: The shooting of the suspect in this manner was unrealistic and negatively impacted the quality of roleplay, falling under non-RP behavior.
- Deathmatching (DM):
- Evidence:
- I have a recording of the entire incident that clearly shows the sequence of events and the actions taken. I am prepared to provide this footage to assist in the investigation of this matter.
- Request for Action:
- I kindly request that the administration review the provided evidence and take appropriate action against the player(s) involved, if they are found to be in violation of the server rules.
