Subject: Complaint Against Admin Tyrell Johnson Regarding Misuse of Administrative Powers and Violation of Roleplay Guidelines
To the Grand RP Management Team,
I am writing this formal complaint to address an issue concerning the actions of Admin Tyrell Johnson, which I believe contradict the core principles of roleplay and the Grand RP rules.
Recently, I participated in an event where I was shot outside the event zone, violating the rules. I documented this incident with a video and posted it on the forums. While I appreciate the fact that the admin took action and jailed the rule-breaker, I was shocked to receive a 60-day ban for an unrelated accusation—that I was allegedly stealing items from a warehouse.
My Concerns:
1. Unfounded Ban Decision:
• The ban imposed on me is based on an assumption without proper investigation or evidence. The vest I was wearing in the video is being questioned, yet such items are freely available for purchase on the black market.
• How does the admin assume I obtained the vest without addressing the actual source of the items?
2. Violation of Meta-Gaming Rules:
• According to the roleplay guidelines, corruption within departments (LSPD, SAHP, FBI, etc.) falls under the jurisdiction of the respective departments, not the admins. It is the duty of these in-game departments to investigate and punish those involved in illegal activities, such as stealing and selling items on the black market.
• By taking action on this matter, Tyrell Johnson is stepping out of his role as an admin and disrupting the roleplay balance.
3. Impact on Roleplay Experience:
• Roleplay is meant to emulate real-life scenarios. If admins bypass in-game departments and directly impose punishments without investigation, it defeats the purpose of roleplay and turns the server into a game of arbitrary rules.
• If admins are taking on the role of law enforcement, what is the purpose of having departments like LSPD, SAHP, and FBI?
My Request:
I respectfully request the following:
• A proper investigation into the ban placed on me, including a review of the evidence.
• Clarification on why the admin acted outside of roleplay guidelines and took over the responsibilities of in-game departments.
• Reinstatement of my account if no concrete evidence supports the accusations.
Admins should act as moderators of the server, ensuring rules are followed while preserving the integrity of roleplay. Tyrell Johnson’s actions undermine this principle and set a poor example for the community.
I hope this complaint will be reviewed thoroughly and addressed appropriately to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
