My name is Casper Hayes, ID 3799, this evening I tried to log into the server only to discover that I have been banned for violating general rule 1.1 "Created account is property of the creator, your account cannot be shared or traded." I am very confused as I have never broken such a rule. The reason in which is given is that this person thought that “ID 3799 would be at work IRL so there's absolutely no way he could be playing grand roleplay while it was at work”. For one, how would anyone know what time I work? Second, could I not have had a day off today, or worked from home? And supposedly I am not able to use my phone for discord whilst being on PC, I think it impossible for this person to know 100% of my PC/phone/discord movements.
IRL I work as a penetration tester which involves me trying to break into different businesses/banks networks and showing them how i did it so they can fix it and i have to use vpn’s and other things when im working from home to make sure sensitive data isnt messed with while in my hands. I find it hard to believe that someone can just assume when and where I work when they do not even know me IRL. When working from home like i previously mentioned I do turn on my VPN and I mistakenly must have kept that VPN on when i logged in today the times that i did and im sure if you were to check all the logs since i been on the server you will probably see multiple places for my IP address because I do forget sometimes.
I have been in this city for months now, I have never had a warning, demorgan, or a ban. This is the first time that something like this has happened to me. I havent even never broken the IC rules. I have been to jail once in game for unpaid fines, and even then, I turned myself in. And I understand you guys have a job to do as admins and you can only make decisions like these based off the info you’ve properly been provided so i just wanted my side to be heard because at this point i feel like im being targeted by someone and i dont even know why. In the application he was so persistent with my discord info, how can they make assumptions on my IRL time schedule. We don’t know each other!. But I am very disappointed and saddened to have been banned, and please take all this information into consideration of this 60 day ban.
