I am writing to formally address concerns about inconsistent rule enforcement and unclear guidelines regarding hostage/ransom roleplay scenarios. These issues arose during discussions on 17.05.2025 between myself (Farouk Flood) and administrators Abhiijet Burrows and Ismail Loco. The lack of clarity has caused confusion and frustration, undermining trust in the fairness of the server’s governance.
Key Concerns:
Contradictory Rule Enforcement
Admin Abhiijet Burrows explicitly stated, “official fam cannot take a hostage,” yet content creator Mamkalo allegedly executed a similar hostage scenario in a YouTube video without repercussions. This inconsistency suggests selective enforcement of rules, which unfairly disadvantages ordinary players.
Ambiguity in LEO Involvement
While admins emphasized that only LEOs (LSPD, SAHP, FIB) should handle ransom negotiations, there was no clarity on:
Consequences for bypassing LEOs.
Procedures if a hostage claims no one cares about them (resulting in threats of in-character death).
This ambiguity leaves players at risk of unintentional rule-breaking.
Unprofessional Administrative Responses
When seeking clarification, I was instructed to “make a forum with your POV” instead of receiving direct answers.
Admin Shashank Jain’s vague reply (“yes u can”) to a question about complaint categories further exacerbated confusion.
Requested Actions:
Immediate Rule Clarification abou
Consequences for rule violations, including ransom demands without LEO involvement.
Investigate Mamkalo’s Case
Review the referenced YouTube video to determine if rules were violated. If so, apply appropriate penalties to ensure fairness and transparency.
Staff Accountability and Training
Address unprofessional behavior (e.g., dismissive or vague responses) to rebuild player trust.
Strict Penalties for Future Violations
Enforce standardized punishments for players and admins who disregard or misapply rules, ensuring no one is exempt from accountability.
