Yesterday, I got asked to help with a global event, by the bloods leader, I asked when the event started.
15:00 would be the start of the event. I worked but took time off to do the event.
At 14:55 I joined the VC, got a quick summary, and headed off to start.
Admin then told me there was another delay, and more delays. The event started only at around 15:40. Which was 40 minutes later then normal. This is not the first time this happened.
I still went on with the event. The event was that we as gangs stormed the capitol building, where the green zone would be removed. Fun idea! We would be called by a corrupt officer to let us know our leaders got arrested, and we would retaliate by taking the Governor hostage. I got told that a corrupt officer would be contacting me regarding the situation. I dropped my phone number in clubchat announcing that I was looking for a corrupt officer. Before I got called, we got told to already start. We went to the capitol, with nice plan to enter from 3 sides.
Nice idea, but, the doors of the backside got locked. Which resulted in a lot of gang members just dying and being send to the hospital.
All of this is happening because there is no clear communication, constant delays, inefficient coordination by the event organizers and more.
But, when arriving at the capitol, the doors were locked.
Every event, so far, I have seen, is always delayed, no communication, goes horribly wrong, like last time where we had an event with unofficial families, where we just went from point A to point B, and that's it. Because NG was not available at the time while they should have been etc. Again, bad coordination.
It also really annoyed me that I took time off, and had to wait that long, for the whole event to just fall in shambles. This happens each and every time, where all members of the org just lose interest in events like this.
I would like to ask the admins to take a look into the situation, and try to solve this situation, where who ever plans these events, can do the organization of it just a bit better.
